Just watched "Very Young Girls" on Netflix and it broke my heart.

First off, I have nothing against prostitutes, escorts, or anything like that. I also think there is a WORLD of difference between being a well-paid and well-treated escort versus being a street prostitute and an ever bigger difference between girls who do it on their own and girls who have pimps.
This documentary was about girls who are recruited from bad homes and bad neighborhoods as early as 12 years old by these pimps; they pick them up, take them out, tell them they love them and treat them like royalty...for a few weeks. They get these love and affection starved girls to feel like they are loved and cared for and use that trust, loyalty and love (that the girls now have for them) and use it to get them to sell themselves. It makes me sick listening to the girls describe the type of manipulation and fear tactics these guys use to make them feel like they have to sell themselves.
Normally, I am a very liberal person. I believe in social programs and that everyone should be healthy and have food and shelter...but I think pimps should be executed. If you are happy with making money from someone else's suffering, you should be put to death because that kind of mentality isn't something you can't cure...when you have no empathy or conscience you have no business being around other people.
