So I just won $5 from a lottery ticket I bought on a whim. Maybe I should take that as a good omen.
I tried to write a blog or two a few times since my last one, but they all felt kind of detached. Right now I'm feeling pretty good about things. Everything is going pretty well musically speaking, I'd say. I'm slowly but surely getting the house cleaned up and we're well on the way to be totally ready to move. Hopefully by the time January rolls around, all we'll really need to do is pack up a truck and unload said truck 14 miles away. I enjoy the area that the new house is in, really. It's near a lot of my favorite hangouts and some really good potential hangout spots. Best of all, as I've said before, it's literally 10 minutes from my job.
I've got a few things on the mind, that I really don't feel I should discuss right now, but they're starting to weigh on my mind. Hopefully things work out in my favor, or enough in my favor that they aren't a problem.
Something I've actually decided to partake in, for a change, is Black Friday. I've only ever checked it out once, and it was hardly even all that, because I didn't even leave my house until maybe 9 or 10 in the morning. I still probably won't be going really early, but I'd like to take a look at one or two places to see what I can spot, if anything. I have a few things I'd like to purchase in the near future. One of those things is a camera, a semi-professional one to be exact. I'd really like to get back into photography. That, and I really want to document one or two events coming up in the future. So, maybe I'll find something decently priced. I happen to get paid the day before Black Friday, so I won't be walking into anyplace with empty pockets. However, I'm definitely not trying to walk out with empty pockets as well. My guilty pleasure store, American Eagle, is supposed to have some pretty good deals. Don't tell anyone I said that, hahaha.
Something I'm excited about/am starting to think about is Warped Tour. I really think I want to try to help my friends in Provoke, Destroy get on a date of the tour. They'd really do well, I think. Plus by then I think they'll have a big enough rep that the attendance/word of mouth would be crazy. Give them a listen if you'd like, they just finished recording their very first EP.
I'd also like to see if I can volunteer for a sponsor or non-profit group. Last year I helped out with Epitaph Records, doing a bit of promotion work, and it really changed my life, so to speak. I was allowed to go back into catering, and see a little bit of the behind the scenes work involved in Warped Tour, and it was really cool. I ended up meeting a lot of my favorite bands that day. Now, I'm not saying I just want to like, get into catering and just hang out and laze around. I'm legitimately interested in the work that goes into Warped Tour and all aspects of it. I really want to get involved and help out in any way possible. Plus, since I have a job, I'll actually have money of my own this time around. It will be my sixth year going, and I still get crazy excited to go. No matter what bands/companies are there, I always have a great time, and see/meet great people and artists.
Also, I'll be getting my next piercing hopefully next week, and I'm excited. I'm not telling what it is, though. I want it to be a surprise (to the few of you who read my blogs.)
Well, House is on, and I've got Combos and Arizona waiting for me. I think that's enough for one day.
Thanks for reading!

It can be fun! You just have to go in knowing there will be crowds and setting your expectations as such.
But it people are normally pretty friendly.
Good Luck!
