Hello SGLand! @missy @rambo
I was really inspired by our recent blog prompt because it is so intriguing! What is happiness? And where does in come from??
For me happiness is the final disolution of anxieties, stress, and long standing depression. It is like the sun in London: probably exists but most of the time I am none the wiser! I find it can be very illusive, and so I have come up with several ways to, if not really bring out the sun, at least replicate it in a convincing manner. As I am gracious and generous, I will share these tips with you. They for sure won't actually make you happy, but they will most likely make it a little harder to want to die, and that's my best case scenario. So! Without further ado, here are some things to make life slightly less unbearable:
1. Clean your room (or pay someone to do it?). Being on a clean space makes it way easier to calm down if you are upset or just chill the fuck out even if you aren't upset
2. Fill your place with things that make you smile! For me that means loads of boudoir posters on the walls and plants, crystals, and candles everywhere else. If you particularly like a particular color, maybe paint a furniture or two in it. You'd be surprised how nice you feel just surrounded by things that are nice to look at.
3. Stop eating junk! When you fill your body with trash it FEELS like trash. You are not trash and you do not deserve to feel that way! Treats are obv still important, just stop with the really bad stuff like highly processed items and fast foods. There are also lots of healthier alternatives to traditional junk food ( like trader Joe's version of hot Cheetos that has a serving size of 37! FYI regular hot Cheetos are 9 pieces a serving) 😅😅
4. Don't forget to eat! But good things this time. Your brain gets real sad when your body is sad, and moods are affected by that. Similarly, it will be easier to make decision after eating 😉
5. Lastly, get enough sleep and don't sign up for things you don't have energy for! If you keep pushing yourself at a low it will only get worse. Go take a nap!
I hope you guys are having a lovely January and don't need these tips, but I also know everything is terrible rn. Chin up! We are gonna get through this, and hopefully we can regulate our moods to avoid complaining the whole way 🤞🤞🤞
Lots of love
And also ass
