k so my b-day was nice and low-key. present to myself? no school work all day and just chilled. my bro was absolutely awesome and got me a program for my comp which was totally unexpected since i wasn't expecting to get anything for my b-day for various reasons. so happy about it. also my present from my parents was a very unexpected 1st season of Burn Notice so i can "watch my boyfriend" hehehe love jefferey donovan!
my expected present though was an awesome cake my mom made for me earlier in the day which was good as expected. she also made one of my fave dinners with one of my fav. wines and was probably, as horribly sad as this is, the first time in a long time that any of us could remember that we all sat down at the table and ate together. but it was great and i loved it.
so i have been clearing off tivo, relaxing, slowly but surely working on my japanese vocab, and just having an easy day.
hopefully gunna get over to lon's this week to see her and snark at my friends via text since they all 4got my b-day. hehehe but it's all good.
oh and got my firend hooked on that mafia wars game on facebook. he says it's his new crack. mwuhahahaha! i blame my bro since he's the one who got me hooked.

Did you get japanese software? I want to get some language software, but the Rosetta Stone is crazy expensive. I'd love some recommendations. Glad you had such a good birthday! It always means a lot when you're not a kid, but people still do special birthday things for you!

Thanks so much for the info. I think it might be better for me to learn that way rather than with Rosetta. I guess the absolute best way though is just to immerse yourself in the culture for a long period of time. Hhaa.
