Hey lovelies, I am here to tell you about my SG soulmate in this weeks blog homework...
@akiramai is my undoubtably my SG soulmate. I honestly don't think I would be sitting here as an official SG writing this if it wasn't for her. I met @akiramai about a year ago in Whistler, Canada where we both live now (well I recently moved to the city, but anyways, we did at the time). We had been messaging on instagram for months before her big move as I was giving her tips about where to live, things to do, etc...we had been following each other for a while at that point. Finally we met, we instantly clicked and she actually moved in with me! It was so great to connect with someone who is on your level and understands everything about this crazy SG world and someone you can really open up to and really bond with. At the time I was still a hopeful and I really looked up to her and went to her for advice on everything SG (still do haha). She really boosted my confidence and made me strive even more to finally go pink!
Last year her and @sarahmoon had booked a trip to LA to stay at the house and she invited me to tag along for a few days and we had SO MUCH FUN! That trip really solidified my love for SG and this amazing community. It really made me appreciate everything that SG has brought me, the experiences and the amazing friendships I have made. For I wouldn't have met either @akiramai or @sarahmoon if it wasn't for SG.
We then went to the Vancouver shootfest together in July last year (which was my first shootfest!). This was actually where my SOTD 'Wet Kisses' by @shaine was shot which was the set that turned me pink! She was so encouraging and supportive whilst shooting my set and even took some BTS shots for me and really just made me feel at ease, (as i'm always a bit nervous shooting).
When my set 'Wet Kisses' went live in member review she was messaging me everyday, congratulating me on how well it was doing and feeding me words of encouragement that it was soon going to get bought and turn me pink, she truly kept the hope alive!
When I got the email to say that 'Wet Kisses' had been chosen as SOTD, she was the first one I messaged! I even ran into her workplace screaming! Haha!
She's the most loving and caring person and she has the kindest heart.
I'm sad that I will be loosing her soon, as she will be moving back to Australia this year, but I'm so happy and appreciative for our time together and we will always remain close.
