Nothin special to report really, Ive mainly just been sitting around with my dogs and reading (when I'm not working that is).
Which brings me to my book reviews:
'the Pirates in an Adventure with Scientists' by Gideon Defoe.. is a pretty funny book. I read it during the course of a bath so its not a long book either. Just a quick book that'll get you some laughs. Check it out.
'Obsidian Butterfly' by Laurell K. Hamilton .. my first Hamilton book and so far I'm impressed. I don't generally read Horror books but so far its kept my interest and shes pretty descreptive without going overboard. Since she writes creates her own world and follows the Story of Anita Blake in that world I was sceptical to just start reading in the middle of a series. However, picking up the relevent past hasn't been hard at all. So far, a good time killing book.
'Stiff' by Mary Roach.. at the request of the lovely Granny I picked this up today on my lunch break (cause books are free for me and I can do that
) Im about 1/3 of the way through and its pretty interesting. It tells about how your corpse is treated if you're donated to science (or not for that matter) and just a good non-fiction book. Check it out if your into that sort of stuff.. even if your not you'll probally still like it.
'Sin City' by Frank Miller.. is a good comic series done mainly in Black and White. Instead of being flashy in drawings it spends alot of time developing the charecters and their plots. I haven't read a comic in quite awhile and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Can't wait to see it on the big screen. (friday if I'm not mistaken)
That's it for the books for this week check back next monday.
Other then the books Im generally good. Me and some friends went into RI and played the Slot Machines for Easter.. I wore my bowling shoes as has become the norm recently ( stole them last time I went bowling this is the 6th time, though not from the same place) They are red and blue with bright green neon laces and I've been wearing them everywhere.
On a belated note.. the SGCT St. Patty's Party was a blast and it was great to see everyone again.. Hopefully I'll be seeing them again at the SGNY open call. Which should also be a blast. Sidenote: anyone want to go down early with me.. I never get to goto NY during the day and I'd like to.
Well then.. I hope everyone is superb and has a wonderful evening or day (whenever you happen to find yourself reading this).
