A couple of weeks ago, over on the TapeOp messageboard, someone posted that they would build a TapeOp Omni microphone for the first person who could make (or find) an animated GIF from this video. I managed to track this:
down and he was gracious enough to build me the mic, even though I wasn't sure if he was kidding.
I tried the mic on acoustic guitar and on a distortified guitar amp and it sounded really nice. It sorta reaffirmed my faith in my fellow man.
