So, the new job started this week. I've been training, and will be all this week and part of next. It all seems manageable. I'll just have to get used to all the rules and procedures and whatnot. And hope that I don't screw too much up. Haha.
The best part of my work, (free coffee/tea/pop, on site showers, ping pong table, my own desk/phone extension, great benefits, dual-screen monitors aside) has got to be the cafeteria.
They have 2 chefs working there. Not just cafeteria lunch ladies, but 2 fully qualified chefs, who make lunch. You just go to the touch screen and order what you want, come back in a few minutes and it's made for you. It's all at cost. So today I paid $5 for the daily special, which was : pan-seared apple chicken with salad and rice. Fucking fantastic lunch. I'd expect to pay like $15 for that at a restaurant.
I think I might have finally found a job where I don't dread getting up in the morning and going to do it.
