In the process I had to deal with a lot of fanboy trepidation, let me explain. We all have our favorite things, the comfy little security blankets that make our little worlds safe and secure. I understand this to a degree, but its getting out of hand.
Hi, I'm a mac....
Mac fanboys are great They blindly follow the heard with their white iPod earbuds firmly pressed into their skulls. They know they support the "better" company and will die for their chosen Messiah.
...and I'm a PC
PC fanboys on the other hand will Make their last stand like the might Spartans. The devotion fueled by the idea that they are in fact the truly "Righteous" faction of the computer world. All based on the fact that they can actually open up and tinker with a PC.
I know this rivalry is on par with Red Sox Vs. Yankees and I accept it, but I have run into dissension the the PC ranks!
Windows 2000 is better then XP.
This one is simple.
No it isnt.
XP is so much more stable then Vista.
This one also simple.
No it isnt.
Vista is too much like a mac.
Okay mister power user why dont you just go back to DOS.
I happen to like my OS simple to operate.
Dell is better then HP, is Better then Gateway, is better then Sony, is better then eMachine.
Ok so you had a shit computer, get over it.
I had a Gateway for seven years an HP for nine. If you do the updates all PC's are the same
Don't go to Best Buy build your own its cheaper.
Why go through the trouble? It's not a classic car restoration.
No it's not cheaper, unless your pirating software your OS alone is two bills.
Ok so Microsoft has stumbled a few times when it comes to Operating Systems. *cough cough windows ME cough. All in all I think they have worked out the major kinks in the chain when it came to Vista.
My first impressions of Vista are good, after two days of having to get a new Vista computer up & running the way my XP was configured with all the software, the codecs, the Bookmarks, the display settings I do appreciate this commercial quite a bit.
But it seems more stable then XP was when I first started running it in 2004. and the "shiny happy" stuff Microsoft added do make Vista a little like the Fisher-Price version of windows but I don't mind it. I myself am am use to the feel being Bi-computle I use both my mac powerbook and My desktop Windows PC.
All this really accomplishes is that I get computer problems twice as much.
I leave you with this.
