So one of my best friends is vegan, which is cool. I like vegan food and love spending time with her so I did a little research as to what ingredients I could use if I cook for her. Now one of my favorite things in the world is hot sauce I put that shit in everything, so I went online and checked ingredients for my favorite one:
Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chile Sauce
I checked like four different sites & checked both the regular and garlic varieties, this is what I found:
Ingredients: Chili, sugar, garlic, salt, distilled vinegar, potassium sorbate, sodium bisulfite and xanthan gum.
So cool she can have it. I cooked for her with is a few times, she even bought a bottle and started cooking with it at home. Then I wake up this morning and there is an instant message from her freaking out cause she says there is fish in it.
I had no idea I didn't see fish in the Ingredients, now I feel like shit.
How do you say sorry for feeding FISH to a vegan?!?

i bought the wrong brand... it looked just like it had the same name and almost the same lable.. and yes on the back it clearly states Fish extract.....wasn't so clear for me at first which i don't know how i missed it but i even saw it again today when i went and bought the goya kind to see how that works out for me... so far so good with that but the other hot sauce i bought was in fact not vegan.
