I stayed home sick today because I almost passed out in the shower. Stupid illness. Stupid work. Stupid...stupid.

Clearly, not up to intellectual snuff today - I slept until 2 pm and then sat around watching season 1 Stargate: Atlantis episodes. Would it offend anyone if I mentioned that Major John Sheppard and Dr. Rodney McKay are painfully, obviously gay for each other? ...Didn't think so.

It occurs to me suddenly that when my roommate K and I take that road trip up to Vancouver to kidnap the boys from Supernatural, we'll be able to swing by and hit the sets of Smallville and SGA as well. We're going to need a bigger car.

Oh! I almost forgot to mention (which is weird because it was the whole reason I thought to post): my application was accepted, which was very fast and a bit surprising. I suppose I should probably add the photos to my picture...area? File? What's the terminology around here? [is still very new]

i don't pluck my eyebrows or shave my legs. my legs are hairy, but the hair's light, look closely. and i don't pluck my eyebrows, i never have in my life.

in regards to your comment on kore's set....

would you ask the same question to someone who only shaved their arms? what about someone who only shaved their head, and nothing else? or possibly a woman who dyed her hair black but didn't touch anything else? i just think it's perfectly rational to pick and choose which parts of our body we want to shave and which we don't - just because society gives us a script on how a woman should do something doesn't mean that women can't legitimately feel better/more comfortable that way.

at the same time, i don't really think it's much of a bold statement not to shave. i don't think it means anything revolutionary or powerful or any crap like that. i just don't think that it matters what people shave and what people don't shave. i don't feel like any less of a feminist just because i have no hoo hair. (yeah i said hoo hair) wink
