Saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy opening night on friday. Have yet to decide precisely what I think of it. I enjoyed it, but I donno if it was enjoyed as a movie, or actually as a Hitchhiker's movie.

So went out to eat at an Indian restaurant tonight. Very yummy, first time I had eaten Indian food. Then saw Sin City. I really, honestly, enjoyed it. It was so unique in terms of style that it rocked in my mind. Then went to Borders, where I purchased some Star Wars reading material in preparation for the release of the final movie in may....

This year was the first time that I wasn't at my huge family gathering for easter dinner. I'm not religious at all, but I feel kind of lonely because of not being there. And going to the school cafeteria for dinner just isn't exactly my idea of easter dinner. Plus I miss my family tradition of full contact easter egg hunting frown *sigh* send me easter...

So upon completing a story I had to write for class, the ending actually surprised me. First time while writing that something like that happened. Oh well, it was an interesting experience.
1aine:
I love it when that happens. Its like the story takes on its own life & writes itself.
goob:
neat.

that happens to me often when writing a paper... but in that case it sucks cuz if the conclusion doesn't fit the thesis, I have to rewrite the whole damn thing.

I am excited that I found this site - yes, that is indeed how much of a geek I am:

Spring break has been good thus far, seeing people is fun, especially when geeky games such as Twilight Imperium are played en masse.

I'm actually feeling kind of bad, though, actually. Yet again I did not get to see one of my good friends that I so desperately wanted to see. Yet what does it say about me if I claim her as a good...

Calling said person I had a small crush on? Check.
Receiving an even semi-interested response? Not check.
Yeah, so that didn't go so well. Damn it. Oh well.

On another note, taking a flight back to my beloved homestate today! Yay! Can't wait to see all my friends. Much fun will be had as we plan very geeky events, because, hey, we are all total...

Thanks! smile

PS - Good luck!! I hope you're better at talking to people you have crushes on than I am...one of mine talked to me the other day, and I pretty much just failed. Miserably. To do anything. I was all "hi." Okay I'll shut up now.
fenchurch:
Aw frown
Well at least you took the leap!

Does anybody know any epic sounding classical pieces? I'm looking for both those pieces they always stick in movie trailers (and the movies themselves often enough) as well as any other suggestions. Thanks-

So, finished reading Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card. When I die, I want somebody to Speak my death. Any takers?
goob:
I haven't read that yet... so I don't know what it means to Speak your death. I came here to say I LOVE the new picture. Very cool. biggrin kiss

Right, so ignore that River Styx post. I promise, I was quite high when I wrote it. But for those who scratch their heads and wonder what the fuck i was talking about, the ceiling was literally the River Styx. And the light on the ceiling? The boat on the River Styx of course! Damn, how much of a geek am I that the first...
