Currently reading Miles Davis' autobiography (appropriately titled "Miles") which is just a treat. Great insights into the birth of the bebop era and all the characters that inhabited it. An awesome read and a great inspiration for musicians in particular, I do believe.
I've read music (auto)biographies a-plenty over the years and here are a few of my other recommendations:
No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish by John Lydon
Cash by Johnny Cash
A Cure for Gravity by Joe Jackson
Harcore Troubadour: The life and near death of Steve Earle by Lauren St. John
Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk by Gillian McCain & Legs McNeil
These are all great reads...so if you haven't read 'em - get 'em!

Thanks, dude. I will indeed continue to try to make myself long and lean, which is a tough call for someone who's 5'1" and has little waist to speak of.
