problem -- there's a million billion people on here and i don't know anybody, so i never have anybody to talk to.
solution -- narrow it down, find a group with common interests, and get to know them better, like you did on all the toy boards.
problem -- the groups don't really do much for me. they're either too geeky or so vague that nobody ever contributes. and i'm not really looking for another on-topic board, i just want some people i can shoot the shit with.
solution -- maybe this isn't the place for you. you get social interaction on plenty of other boards.
problem -- but they're all quiet most of the time, with little flurries of activity here and there.
solution -- give them something to respond to. be the driving force in a community. start up a toy group, or a non-nerdy anime group.
problem -- non-nerdy anime group? is that even possible?
solution -- okay, a non-mainstream anime group. get people talking about more than just whatever's on cartoon network this week.
problem -- well, that could work. but i don't really care that much, and i'm not as knowledgeable as i like to think i am. mostly i want to talk to people who've seen more and better anime than i have, not be the one leading the discussion towards less mainstream but still fairly mainstream stuff like gits:sac.
solution -- fumoffu, blame.
problem -- so that's two.
solution - that freaky jungle anime thing. that one was wierd.
problem -- maybe i'll just get my picture blog started up and double-post things here. that could incite some conversation. once i get my photography up and some drawings people will be all 'wow, that shit is cool, i want to talk to this person'.
solution -- or not.
problem -- you're not very helpful, buddy.
solution -- you're the one talking to yourself instead of going out and making friends.
