There are an awful lot of grey spots on my friends list.
This week has been busy busy busy (times x!) but really quite rewarding. Completed many papers and assignments, made a lot of progress on my photo project and thought up a topic of my Mesopotamian architecture research paper (not as cool as my friend's proposal, based on PKD's The Man in the High Castle...) Unfortunately, I wrote a subpar paper for my narrative class, and it's been haunting me all day... I just keep thinking back to it, how poorly it was structured, the weakness of my arguments... oh, god, it really makes me grumpy and sick to think of it too much.
Not having had a job (quitting to concentrate on school... ah hahaahaa [although, surprisingly, it has worked really well), the funds are very very low. Luckily, today someone gave me a dollar to watch Gorey Stories a wonderful staged adaptation of several of Edward Gorey's works.. it was surprisingly wonderful! Dark, well staged, great costume & set design, with a couple actors that captured the feel quite well...
Come home and watched Easy Rider for the first time. Holy SHIT. That is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen . Throughout the entire thing I was shocked at how precedent-setting it is, its defiance of convention... the way it was structured and edited... and oh man, Peter Fonda and copious drug use. I die a little... in a good way.
The constantly shifting environment of the American Dream never could fail to surprise me...
Jason Webley was tonight and i missed him because I am PO'. And possessing unhappy lymph glands. But at least I have my health, yes? Oh, damn... nm.
What should I watch when I have 2 hours free next: Rashomon, Blue, or Amadeus (although that's a 2.5 hour investment?) Poll..
Oh man, netflix is the shizzle!

Gorey Stories . . .And not done badly? Hmmm. I guess my plan to adapt his work to the stage will have to wait until the public at large forgets this good version. Mine will be atrocious.
