It was just a normal day in Scyllaville, when:
Lo! What is THIS, then?
Some sort of fantastical device, no doubt... (note the bitching dinosaur. Yeah!)
It's definitely an ipod. Yay!
Its coolness incapacitated me and shoved me into a small box.
I was so overcome with emotion that I had to take off my shirt.
Yeah, you KNOW how I got that baby. Freeipods.com.
pvps4free. Open to Canadians, has 40 gig photo ipods and portable dvd players
Cameras4free. High end (5+ mp) cameras. Also open to Canadians
MP3 players 4 free. ALSO open to Canadians, and has the 20 gig ipod, among others.
Free 40 gig photo ipods. Unfortunately, not available to Canadians.
Owning my own camera (as opposed to borrowing one for such occasions) would be quite conducive for excess, y'know!
So yesterday, I probably spent a good part of the day hanging around my iced in, chilly CHILLY house, watching all of the extended features on my Return of the King DVD. If you haven't seen the extended edition, then you haven't LIVED. (I mean more in the sense that someone who's never seen a picasso has never lived, not in the sense of a child that's been prematurely aborted). It's pretty mind-blowing to think about the sheer number of people whose entire lives was comprised of contributing to this movie. Luckily, it looks damn good. The included extended scenes are great... some wonderful stuff of Pippin being very angsty, and an AMAZING scene in the Trails of the Dead that is so incredibly obscene in its meaning that it goes from rad to awesome back to rad again. YEAH it does!
Gearing up for the trip... we'll have to leave Portland on Tuesday morning in time to get to Tacoma before 9 a.m. Motherfucking joy, yeah? eh. Bah!
Today was a lot of fun, even though there was a weird dynamic of being expected to look like I was having a lot more fun than I really was at any time. Weird weird.
At leasrt I have stability when I go to bed at night.

Most of those deal with converting DVD to a different format, but I think some will work ISOs too. If I have more time, I'll test some of them out.
Now i want one.
