Thanks a lot for all of your kind words, guys. It seemed to have magically helped... I was able to go to the school yesterday with moderate discomfort. Nothing like prayer (and sleep) for such things.

I have a fairly large presentation to make on December first (or the Monday after next?) and I haven't done too much research on it. Luckily, I think I'm going to just focus on working on the presentation for all of today.

One thing that I did this weekend that was quite wortwhile was finish Haruki Murakami's "The Elephant Vanishes". Amazing... has anyone read this in the original Japanese? I'm intrigued by how much of his postmodern narrative flavor is imparted by the translator vs. there in the original...

Jesus. This semester is ending SO FUCKING SOON! My heart pops with furry anticipation! *dance dance dance* Oh, but then family, and then New Year's without... meeh. But luckily... lots of time to spend by myself. Want to send me something to read this winter? Word-e-delic.

Seraphim's new set is in a BEAUTIFUL location that I've often dreamed of using for a set... but she's absolutely perfected it. She is one of the first SuicideGirls and exquisitely gorgeous in an Athena-like/Dead Can Dance sort of way that we don't see often around these parts here at SG... so let's all bask in her glory.

Thanks for what you said in my journal about the family stuff. As for The Elephant Vanishes, I haven't read it in the original Japanese, but I'm sure that most of Murakami's flavor is in tact in the original. His post-modernity is as much his calling card in the original Japanese as it is in English.
