Oh, joe, if only you were alive right now.
Sitting here topless, wearing Powerpuff Girls boxers, listening to Pink Floyd and wearing my NEW awesome Docs. I've never had stompy boots with buckles before and I'm incredibly excited. I have tiny feet. There are size 3 UK. And fucking tight. I imagine that it feels not unlike sexual intercourse with my bad self.
Speaking of which it has rolled over to 8/21. That means in 8 days I'm gonna score me some HOT MANCOCK. (you can take that to the bank, yo) The only thing is... ugh, my flight's at like 2. Then I'll get back to pdx around 4-5. And then i have to pick up my shit before they close. And so the earliest I'll be able to have sex is like... the evening. Fucking A. Don't cry for me, Argentina... (I actually know the entire libretto to Evita, in some dusty corner of my heart. I have also had sex while listening to the soundtrack to Beauty & the Beast [original broadway]. although the sex was awful. I'm one awesome bitch)
One of the things that I dig about being in limbo is that I find myself constantly being told that I am awesome because I'm a repository of knowledge. Not because of my awesome tits or something (which are going to look crap when the set is released because they were all floppy in the heat lamps. But whatever) I'm used to that at school (fucking academic cultures of stress) but now there's the tantalizing promise of seeing me butt nekkid.
*shakes ass*
*puts ass in blender. puree. add strawberries, echinaecha*
Saw Amercian Splendor today. Seeing 'ANd Now Ladies and Gentlemen' tomorrow', American Splendor was quite good. The gist of it is that it's a narrative of Harvey Pekar's life, but very... I REALLY HESITATE to use the phrase meta just because I abuse it so damn much (like my fetus, writing and covered in puppies) well it's aware of the limitations of film as anything objective. So there're scenes where the actor (check out teh interview w/ Paul Giamatti here on sg) will end a scene, walk over and talk to another one of the actors, while the two people they're representing will be discussing the scene as well. This is juxtaposed with line drawings. In general I found it quite good, but like with many movies, the rush of the visual innovation (the first half) wore off pretty quickly & I found the 'legitimate' narrative to be pretty slow.
Oh yeah. I had to write a new entry because you people pushed my last comment tally up to 24. One too many. Bah. My nipples are finally healing.

aoife:
I just swung by to say hi since I've been reading your comments in the Girls Group, and found that you like Nick Cave, Tom Waits, the Clash, Les Miserables and comics. I hate being the person who says "You're cool because you like X and Y," but oh well. You already seemed cool from what you had to say, that just added to it.
bathory:
i am so intimidated by you.
