WOW!! The Burlesque show on Friday night was insane. The girls were beautiful and they put on a show that was amazing. I think my new short term dream is to become a burlesque show groupie.

I finally turned in the last of the two papers I had due this week. Got to bed at 3:30 last night and then woke up at 6:30 this morning to finish working on the last paper. The semester is now over and I greet summer with open arms.

I'm going crazy!! It's the last week of this semester and I'm neck deep in papers. I've got a 20 pager due tomorrow afternoon and a 30 pager due on wednesday. I hate waiting to the last moment to do my papers, but there is something about trying to beat a quickly approaching deadline that gets my creative juices flowing. I wish I could get...

Went and saw Modest Mouse last night. Considering I had never heard of them before, I thought they were pretty good. I saw a girl at the show that I haven't seen in a couple of years. It was great to see her. I got her number and we're going to hang out this weekend.

Sad News......my grandfather passed away yesterday morning. I was on my way to go diving when my sister called with the news. I went to see my grandmother today and she is doing suprisingly well considering the circumstances. I'm afraid that she is not going to last much longer, though, as her and my grandfather were soulmates, married for about 60 years.

What a great ride yesterday. Great weather, great group of people, and as an added bonus, my bike didn't break down. I won a killer Harley cooler in the raffle at the end of the ride. Well it's another week of the daily grind: work, school, and trying to keep a social life.

I moved here to take care of my grandmother. I'm originally from here, actually. moved to hawaii when I was 10. smile

Alright, biker night at Cabos tonight. It's always a blast. Hang out with all the other members of the motorcycle club and talk story. We've go our big ride this weekend that we are sponsoring so we've got to get everything ironed out tonight. Get to visit the grandparents on Saturday, but G-pa didn't sound too well when I spoke with him yesterday. He could...

i am in love with Kaua'i. we went to Maui in Oct because everyone said "you gotta go, it's sooo awesome" and the entire time we were there i kept comparing it to Kaua'i. Maui was nice but it seemed overrun with stressed out, agenda hungry mainlanders. we'll probably go to Oahu this year because we've never been and have friends there to crash with. i'm looking forward to it but can't wait to get back to Kaua'i. i miss Hanalei frown

sounds like you have a great weekend planned, enjoy it biggrin and i'll cross my fingers that you have good weather for your ride. hope grandpa's doing well for your visit, 92 is a nice long life to live...

aloha

kiss love to emma

I survived my birthday bash on Saturday night and spent Sunday (my actual birthday) trying to recover. My favorite present was a picture that my friend found of us surfing back in 1986. It was classic. He had it blown up and framed.

thanks! i'm glad your birthday was a success and the all-next-day-recovery proves it! wink

have an awesome week! biggrin

Well I'm gearing up for a night of partying. My friends are throwing a not-so-surprise party for me at the Palms. It will be my last big shin-dig as a twenty something year old. Gosh, 30 seems so old. Yet if Peter Cole can still surf sunset at age 70 something, then I've got nothing to worry about.

oops, i totally missed you comment a few weeks back! confused i was just going thru my old journal entries and saw it. nah, don't go to Cal State Northridge...musta been another Cooper. Hope you're doing great! biggrin

Happy birthday...30 is still young nowadays, don't fret! kiss

Just got back from an all day diving/fishing trip at the islands. Looks like I'll be eating lobster and fish tomorrow for dinner......mmm.....mmm.
I'm dead tired right now, and hopefully I'll be able to get up in time for work in the morning.

Just got back from school. What a boring drive. At least I got to surf this morning before the wind got on it.
Today we talked about Pinochet's rule in Chile. Some gnarly stuff went down in Chile under his rule. Oh well, at least tomorrow I get to go do some research down at the Reagan Library.
