Anyone hating the X-Factor single?
le sac & I, along with Gallows, The Kooks, Enter Shakari, Billy Bragg, Suggs, Orbital, Unkle, Heaven 17, Mr Hudson, Guillemots and many others have done a new recording of John Cage's 4'33 (which is a silent compostion capturing the sounds that occur when artists are in the studio, at the mics, with their instruments....but not playing them) as an alternative Christmas Number one option for charity.
Its produced by Paul Epworth and was put together by Eddy Temple Morris.
Anyway, all good fun!
The project is called Cage Against The Machine and you can by it on itunes now.
There are also remixes in which people like Adam F and Alex Metric have recorded different 4minute 33second long snapshots of their lives.
Its all a bit odd but i love the idea of Radio One having to play 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence in their biggest chart of the year.
Silent Night.

Nice work!

Is it weird that I love 4:33?! I remember studying it as part of a minimalist music module at school and finding it fascinating. My (paid!) download love goes to Cage Against The Machine.
