Yay new star wars day
Ok once again it's a videogame but honestly I got to psyched about episode 7 "shadows of the empire" on the N64 like 11 years ago, that I'm really looking forward to this self-supporting story in-between 3 and 4.
Apparently according to the great rumour mill that is the internet it suffers from repetitive gameplay and a slightly confused control/camera system. These however have been criticisms of practically every 3D game I've ever played, and I've usually completed the game.
But just got the same score as mercenaries two and that's still incredible fun, just repetitive and suffering from they type of lacklustre visuals and unrealistic physics you might have expected on Super Runabout: San Francisco edition 8 years ago.
- 2 birthdays ago Liam and I beasted Tomb Raider Anniversary and completed it. despite the fact that my computers TV card's image froze every 5 minutes causing me to have to pause and shut down and restart the program for the entire final level. Which when combined with the split second timing and dodgy camera of climbing the tower section is pretty hardcore.
I'm not a snob I just have high standards for development companies trying to create "the next best thing", hell I still love Tetris, and have probably spent both consecutively and in total the most time on a single game paying that, and it's 2 years younger than I am. Hell it's the same age as Vicki.
last birthday we did MGS, now we're spoiled. It was just an amazing 3 days. Even down to the longer than gameplay cut-scenes, and the fact as well the loading screens in-between levels started telling us we'd been playing too long without a break.
I digress.
This is the first time I've been genuinely happy with my progress, and am hoping that despite a couple of incredibly minor setbacks I'm thinking and hoping it's increasingly likely that I'll be back at work soon, and then hopefully not long after that I'll be ok to/allowed to do some more strenuous physical activity such as skating.
At the moment there are periods where the only thing is a residual tingle/throb only occasionally/or when aggravated: going into "ARGH what the BEEP was that, BEEP-ity BEEP BEEP on a stick!!!" and nullsometimes it's only a "Jiminy Jillikers Radioactive Man, that smarts" so it really is a huge improvement.
