I went out of town to see a friend one last time before she moves to Seattle. We had dinner, went and saw her artwork at a local gallery and caught up on things in our lives and gossiped about mutual friends. It was much needed and I miss her already because I know I won't get to see her for a long time. My longtime friends have really dwendled down to nearly none. I have found that my so-called "friends" only get in touch with me if they need something and that hardly deserves a response. I'm just too damn nice though and that's how I got where I am now. I've lived in my home in the stix now for nearly two years and only one of my friends has ever visited. Not that i'm Inviting everyone over either... I don't bother because people are lazy and don't want to drive an hour outside of town to visit. People are pathetic sometimes...

Well, as far as the phobia poll goes - you all seem to be rather sane people! Just some normal fears of holiday shopping at the mall and other large "organized" group related fears... who isn't?

Hell yea for packages! I got a fantastic package of Frisk panties. Holy crap they are really handmade! meow!
Mowed the lawn yesterday. Boy do I ever love mowing the lawn... it makes me feel quite accomplished once I'm done. I even love the whole getting sweaty bit.
What I don't like are the thorns, huge spider webs and poison ivy everywhere and ticks damnit!!

Actors vs Musicians
----------------
Let's talk about the difference between the average age an actor (or in entertainment business) lives as opposed to the average age a musician (or in the music business) lives.
I had been noticing how many musicians die young in the first place. All the traveling is first a hazard. I can think of some many of my heros that died in tour related traveling. Or then there is the high stress and reckless living of that lifestyle. Drugs take so many of them young. And if they don't die young it often catches up at a younger than average life expectancy for modern times.
Here is an example:
Just this past week Bob Hope died at 100 and Sam Phillips died at 80. Ok, granted that 80 is pretty damn old but a lot can happen in 20 years. This wasn't the best example. I've noticed that so many musicians die between 30 and 60. That's young to me. I think about this probably because I've always dated musicians and well I'm planning on living forever. It will be like The Hunger where she lives on and on while all her dead zombified lovers are packed away in the attic. Ok, so well maybe not quite but it's something to think about... hell If I was Bowie's lover for 200 years I think I could finally die.
Do you plan on living forever like me or figure 40 is old enough??

Toll booths are cash boxes, and trucks pulling flatbeds are skateboards. A lot of old lingo has either fallen into disuse or has changed meaning.
