The punks are getting old.
Last night, I call back my friend who wants to ask me about getting a job like mine. His girlfriend invites me over for barbecue. I go over and drink Piels. Their apartment is modestly nice. The back room is the punk room filled with old posters and records. People are talking about grad school and marriage. We look at people's pregnant photos on friendster. The punks are getting old.
I'm watching Requiem For A Dream in preparation for my grandmother's 90th birthday. She's already flighty without the drugs. My mom is in the throes of her spring mania and calls me about the party every five minutes.
I don't want to be at work lately. I feel like I try really hard, but nobody's watching. The job isn't getting done by just me, but the other folks aren't connecting. I could work really hard and get nothing done, and nobody's going to notice. It makes me want to stay at home and drink beer.
