Well, its official, im homeless. Last night at about 1:30 am passed out in my bed and someone starts pounding on my bedroom window and screaming wake up. i wake up and my house is full of smoke. open my front door and the firefighter starts yelling at me to get out of the building. my neighbors unit 3 units down was completely engulfed in flames.
everyone got out, THANK YOU CRYSTAL FOR WAKING ME UP!!!!! and no one was hurt.
after spending the night with my buddy at the boat yard, i went to the red cross and they hooked me up with a hotel room for the next three nights. after that, i don't know, ive heard rumors that the red cross will extend if i ask.
we went by again today to see the damage. all my cloths are covered in soot. carpets and furniture ruined. the building is pretty damaged. the entire electrical system needs replaced, part of the roof needs to come off and replaced, and the unit where the fire started was completely gutted.
beyond that, my buddy and i decided that with a few hundred bux we can have our yacht weather tight and i guess im moving on to that. i can't afford to get another place and we were planning on doing that anyways. so we ordered the fiberglass and 10 gallons of resin so we can finish the pussy pad of the boat and that is the roof to my state room. then i can move in, with some fans and shit because its going to be a glorified greenhouse in there.
ugh, life sux today.
