I have a bit of a strange blog for you today. Nevertheless, I'm going to share anyway.
And the topic of today's blog? My sad feet. Yup.
And as always, there will be picture rewards at the end of the blog, for those of you who make it through my mundane writings.
But first.... my sad feet. Yup, that's right, my feet are..... well...... sad. They are beaten up and sore and just plain old sad.
Being somewhat of a country girl, I walk around bare foot at home most of the time, even outside. My poor feet endure hours of walking around in paddocks, through creeks, stepping on stones, sticks, thorns, animal poo, prickles, dead stumps ect. I walk up and down my hot, rocky bitumen driveway about 10 times a day. My clumsy goats are constantly stepping on my toes with their hooves and crushing them into the ground. Plus, I find it soooooo hard to find comfortable shoes, so my feet constantly have blisters on them from ill-fitting shoes.
As we speak, I only have half a toenail on my left foot, and the other half is purple and probably about to die and fall off. Another toenail on my right foot fell off last week after months of turning purple and dying. Both of these happened because of the goats trodding on my toes. I have 2 very painful, red, swollen holes in the bottom of my feet from stepping on thorns. The back of my soles are all cracked, rock hard, splitting and painful to walk on. And I have blisters all over the back of my feet from my shoes.
Yup, my feet are sad
My feet look like and old farmer's feet.
Yet the idea of wearing shoes everytime I step foot outside, kind of makes me said also. Which is why, despite my sad feet, I still don't wear shoes at home (yup, I hear you all there asking yourselves why I just don't put shoes on
) I'm so used to running around feeling the soft grass on my feet, and the cool creek water, the nice smooth pavement. I love to 'feel' things with my feet. I love the feel of things on my feet. I find shoes so..... restricting.
But, my feet are sore, swollen, sad and don't really look all that crash hot either at the moment. So I think my days of barefooting might be put on hold for a while. Hmph.
I think I need a good pedicure. What do they even involve? I've never had one
And.... that's enough about feet! Who's grossed out?
New pics now, as promised. These were shot last week by my lovely friend Valkyrie. We are shooting again this coming week as well, to create some more very similar to this. So keep your eyes open for those! But for now, here are the first six. The general theme? Red things!

And now, quite possibly my favourite picture of me ever. Valkyrie shot this while we were on a short break during the shoot last week. I LOVE these things. Seriously ♥
