ViDeo AT Bottom!!!
Ok, soSafehaven is flying out to N>C> to stay July 4th week with Nora and Elly Is gonna drive me to Charlotte, N.C. so I can fly back to SAcremento WIth Safehaven that friday the 6th and I am meeting Up with Matt From S.A.F. Records to finally get started on my ROck N Roll Photography book that sunday the 8th. NOw comes the tedious of scanning negatives of over 7 years worth of rock n roll shots to present to him so that we can figure out how in the hell we are gonna lay this thing out.
I am so SToked. When I started Photography that is all i ever wanted. I had seen a book by Chrissy Piper called "Unheard Music" which featured tons of photos of angel Hair, fugazi and so many other Amazing Bands. All I could think is "wow, I wish I could put out a book one day" I didn;t think it would ever happen though. It is finally coming together. I paid my fucking dues and Hopefully this will work out.
By the way. I am just a country boy. I was raised in a double wide trailer til I was 11. I was taught to shoot my puppy if It got sick instead of taking it to the Vet and I was skilled in shooting down deer, rabbit and squirrels by my FAther.
HOwever, Instead of becoming a blue collar worker, I somehow found something in myself that loved photography, loved music and loved animals and I left all my upbringings behind. I didn;t go to school for this and Now, i shoot for one of the largest NewPaper Companies in the U.S. <McClatchy> ONe of the top Music Magazines<Alternative Press> and one of if not the largest Alt pin-up site in the world..
I have been damn lucky. gotten to tour and share bunks and floors with some of my favorite bands, Seen this country back and fourth several times and met so Many amazing People. You all know who you are. Thank you. i
