Currently listening to: "Death of it All" by Rob Zombie
The days just seem to come and go and the next thing I know another month has gone by... Work is kicking my ass... I haven't talked to too many people in the past few weeks...
Not much to report...
Went to a Buckethead show on Friday at the Henry Fonda "Music Box" Theatre in Hollywood. That man is a guitar god. Amidst some of his standard jams, renditons, and hits, he also played Iron Maiden's "Wrathchild" and Serj Tankian from System of a Down and a female singer named Shana Halligan performed the duet "Waiting Hare" off the "Buckethead & Friends: Enter the Chicken" album. A very intertesting part of the evening was a one man opening act named Kid Beyond. He's a beatboxer/vocalist who did, among many things, a beatboxed version of the outro to Nine Inch Nails's "Closer" and some live looping of his own material and a Portishead song...absolutely amazing. What this guy can do with his body and his voice is astounding and he writes his own songs where he is performing all the sounds...kinda makes Michael Winslow look like an amateur...
Next up: Rob Zombie at the Wiltern on Monday and Tuesday and then Godhead at the Whisky A Go Go on Wednesday... I'm going to be tired as Hell on Thursday...
