I am not an SG, and since I don't plan on doing the whole MtF thing, I never shall be.
However, I really like this SG homework and really want to do it. SO I WILL!
I shall break this down by season though because I have a lot going on this year.
I shall consider a year as being a year from today and Respond on that timeline as opposed to the 2016 timeline, because there is just so much of the year left!
I, sadly, due to Crohn's as well as scarred lungs I am going to have to put my Firefighter stuff on hold until I can increase the efficiency of the healthy parts of my lungs(I was in the Navy, and inhaled some fumes during a casualty. Ces't la vie).
That means that my work out regimine this Summer and fall is going to involve running. A lot of it... with a weighted vest on. Forcing my lungs to work harder and get stronger.
This is one objective for the next year.
Next objective, to take my already lucrative hobby of firespinning, and improve on it.
I am intermediate with my skill. Many people think I am good, and while I don't suck, most of what is getting me gigs is the fact that I have great stage presence. Well, I am also very good at being a fire safety, and that helps.
This means that I am going to be utilizing an old saying.
"How does one get to Carnegie Hall?" "Practice practice practice."
3rd thing I shall be doing this year shall be to volunteer some of my time to a good cause of doing first aid at conventions.
I am a Supervisor for a group called Operation Hammond * www.operationhammond.com *
They specifically do first aid for large conventions of a geek nature(I.E. Connecticon, Anime Boston), and it is great. We help a lot of people, during the day, and then help the people that have partied too hard at night.
*subnote - this was a really awesome Morrigan at AB2015*
So, this July I shall be the Event Supervisor for Operation Hammond at Connecticon. I am going to have 20 people ready to rock and roll and deliver first aid for 4 days, so please, wish me luck.
That about covers my things to start now through the summer. Let's now proceed to this fall!
In August I shall be doing another burlesque show! *there is video of my first one on my profile* So all that exercise I will be getting from practicing my chosen art as well as running with a frikking weighted vest is going to pay off big time for this.
I might be in my thirties, and have some health issues, but by the gods I am still fit, funny, and many people consider me a bit of a looker. So woo!
I shall also be welcoming my spawn into the world come September!
That is currently inside my wife. The little bugger is currently at 22 weeks, and I am excited! I have wanted to be a father for a long time now, and when this little one comes along, I am going to do my best by him/her.
The baby is going to take up most of the rest of my time at that point to where I will have to cut down on some of my volunteering and hobbies, so my main plan for the fall and winter is to maintain fitness, skill levels, help my wife, and to start to raise a baby.
SPRING - This spring I want a new tattoo. I have 3 that I am considering, and which one is going to depend on available funds.
Because as many of you know, good tattoos are expensive. So, If I have a lot in the way of moneys, I get to start working on a back piece, a goodly amount of funds equal the beginning of an upper half sleeve on my left arm, and a small amount equals a tattoo to commemorate my time in the US Navy.
I am also hoping that come Spring 2016 that my lungs will be in good enough shape to pick up the firefighting thing again. Because I am used to set backs, but I am not good at giving up my dreams.
On that note, that pretty much covers my big plans and goals for the year, so I shall end this with a cat tax!
