Another week down
so this is what did last week...
Monday i continued tracking bass and get caught up on all the songs that are ready for bass tracks. Eric and Brian begin tracking guitars on salute and american nightmare. monday night rolls around and avenged sevenfold is in town so a couple of us go to the show. Josh worked on their latest album and knows the guys so Josh and I meet up with them and bullshit-ed with them for a couple of hours till they have to hit the road. Those guys are all super cool, no weird egos there. Had a couple a beers for the first time in a almost a week and got kinda drunk, Josh doesn't drink so he drives us home.
Tuesday I do one song on bass and then guitars start again. It's pretty much one song a day for me now. It only takes about an hour to an hour and a half for me to do a song so the rest of the day i have free to do what ever. Which usually involves me fucking around on the internet trying to find the funniest thing on you tube, Watching josh edit or sitting in the lounge watching tv. There is now an imprint on the couch from my ass.
Wednesday more of the same i think all of the days are running together. I go to bed early and miss out on Josh doing a face plant trying to do a push-up and clap behind his back. that's drunk guy behavior from a guy that doesn't drink.
Thursday I get up and do one song. there is a photographer here form detroit or somewhere like that. We take pictures form noon till about nine group shots individuals, long exposures, reflections, indoors, out doors, in conor oberst's back yard... every where.
It's josh's last night here so we shut down early and go to "the brothers " and play pool. everybody gets pretty lit up, except me. I drink one beer I have to drive.
Friday i don't think i did any bass tracks, Josh leaves to day, it's a sad day. I take Josh to the airport around 3 in the afternoon. I don't go back to the studio right away I drive around the old market and downtown for awhile. It sucks that Josh is gone, now who will i bother when I'm bored. Josh is a cool dude and knows his shit, he will be greatly missed.
Friday night I go out by myself to get away, everybody's girlfriends/wife's are here. I don't have one so i can get depressing when no one comes to see me. I have a friend that is in a fashion show at the nomad lounge so i go to that. Its a nice place and a new experience for me. I actually meet up with someone I know and we're both kinda the black sheep in the joint so I hang with him. He's with a couple of hotties so that's nice. After the show i talk with kelsey the girl the was in the fashion show for a bit and then proceed to another bar to meet back up with brian and the hotties. I don't have a shot in hell with either of them but i'll entertain the idea, no luck I go home alone.
Saturday is pretty lame I do one song and nothing else. went to the store and spent my last $11 dollars on groceries. saturday night sophia takes a couple of us to see " you will know us by the trail of the dead" They're an indie band but i enjoy the show.
Sunday, i write this as i wait to do bass tracks with the goal of finishing all my tracks today. I have three songs left and an intro. I can finish if everyone else is on the ball. my hope is high. I need to finish so i can go back to lincoln and work, It sucks but i need to make some real money.
