Success this time :-)
Managed to wangle a renewal of my learners without doing the course again, sine I had passed the first two-thirds of the Provisional course - classroom component and supervised road ride - without any difficulty.
Re-booked the course for yesterday, this time for only $50, and hired one of their bikes, another $50, and passed the test without a worry.
Mind you, the bike I was on was the most woeful piece of crap I've ever straddled - its shook and rattled every time I took off, had a nasty tendancy to slip into neutral instead of 2nd, and i swear the whole thing weighed less than I did and bottomed out the springs as soon as I sat on it.
But, I passed the bloody test, which means no more testing for me until I start trying to drive a car, and that suits me just fine. So here's to going from being a "bloody L plater" to a "bloody P plater!".
