and this is why i hate being in the military: the horrific inefficiency that runs rampant when trying to organize where/when people are supposed to be on a given day. i sat around in my dress blues with 280 other sailors at nuclear prototype and heard the same fucking "don't drink and drive, drugs are bad" briefs that i've heard atleast 47 times before today. it was a complete waste of my time, regardless of how valueless uncle sam seems to think it is. i've been up since 0430 and have had nothing to eat except a cup of some greek yogurt. the only reason i'm not gorging my face as we speak is because my roommate is cooking dinner. i'm starving. i need to shine my boots. then i need to go to bed around 2200. today has been rough. one the up side, i don't have to do any of that shit tomorrow and i get to wear the camos which are significantly more comfortable. only 6 more months and i'll be done with this training command.....

ha! really? i feel like i should've know, i'm from Rome, Ga. then again, owning a giraffe in a rural area is also against the law in Ga. clearly these laws are in our best interest! silly giraffes
