2:25 am, just returned from the grammy awards and after party. not too shabby. ive never really liked these award shows. i mean dont these people get enough adulation? perks? money? i know music is a hard biz and all...but the security made it seem like a meeting of world leaders. i mean i cant take a bottle of water into the show? what am i going to do with it from the third level?
i now hate black eyed peas, have new found respect for green day, not sure what U2 was thinking with song selection, and the rest i just watched with no comment. i really dont know what the grammy awards are all about. its not about the best selling album, but its surely not about the best music. nice to have the killers and franz up for awards, that gives a bit of merit but the rest was.........eh.
the after party was a freak show of wanna be's and has beens and families of industry fold. plus jordan knight hanging with aaron carter from what i could tell. black eyed peas again cursed my night with a show. a dj set by BT helped but a no show by paul oakenfold was a downer.
the most important thing. the rum and cokes (that were free mind you as were all drinks all night) was served with one of the finest rums ive ever tasted. and we found one bartender out of the bunch all over that knew how to pour a stiff one, without using the shotglass.
ended the night on the roof top of the standard hotel in downtown LA. a fine nightcap.
im tired, im spent, good night

I've stayed at The Standard on the Sunset Strip. It was a humbling experience to see how un-skinny and uncool I actually am.
It was wonderful meeting you as well.
It was very difficult to carry on a conversation with all that noise. Hopefully the next time we meet it'll be some place calmer.
What is this about a fight after we left?
Did Nofiradio get rowdy again? I keep telling that guy to lay off the martini's.
