Overnight the weather forcast changed, and left me a day to enjoy my motorcycle. So I went over to my parent's house, got them on that monstrocity on the right, and we rode around for a while with the eventual goal being excellent gyros. That mission was accomplished.
But I want to say that on the scenic and as-indirect-as-possible-without-leaving-the-state way back home I could not help but smile often. In a car, there are plenty of good looking roads you run into if you're open to it. On the bike, riding with someone who knows where to go, I see so many beautiful things. And something else that I didn't really know, was that when I ride down a road full of flowering spring trees, I get to smell all of them, along with bon fires and barbeques and freshly cut grass...
These are the sort of things I like riding for. I'm not interested in trying to squeeze in under that Biker mantle and all that accompanies it.
I just like the wind, and the sun, and the rain. I like that there is nothing seperating me from the scenery.
One day in the future I'd love to have someone with me to take pictures of these things.
