Hi!
Yeah, so today was one of the TOP FIVE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!!!!!
That's quite a tall order, but I assure you that it is fulfilled.
Let's first discuss the current top 5:
1. having my baby
2. getting my college degree
3. leaving my exhusband
/
4. getting my first apartment
5. getting my first tattoo
So now the first tattoo has been usurped by CHANGING MY NAME!!!! yay! I got my name back!! I feel like me again!! woo hoo!
A few days ago, I got my gold sealed divorce decree and therefore, I was free to change mine and my Em's last names. I resumed my maiden name and my daughter has a hyphenated mom-dash-dad's last name. She will never feel alienated from either parent or more part of one family than the other. Awesome compromise. And pretty surprising for him to agree to.
I am completely mindboggled by the fact that I spent 40 minutes in the social security office to change 2 names, 20 minutes to get a new license, and 5 to change my name on my bank account getting a new card and checks.
Here I am:
If my day couldn't have been better, I didn't get called in for an emergency from work, I got checked out by 6 cute teenage boys, and I found cool toys for Em on sale. I didn't stop at one red light all day. I was buying a dress for my ten year high school reunion and the sales lady thought I was buying a dress for the HIGH SCHOOL PROM!! AND, it was on sale 40% off! And today is Steak and BlowJob day, and I bought the awesomest steak but got no BJ but that's ok.
Sorry for bragging and sounding like I'm rubbing it in, but I haven't felt this alive and like I'm in my own skin in years. I am wishing some of my good vibes and love to your direction.
Did anything brighten your day? Share please!

However ... I'm not leaving. You're right ... it is fucking childish - but childishness can really fuck a lot of things up in the adult world.
We'll just leave it at that. But no worries for now hon ... I'm here.
That's awesome - and totally didnt take too too long!
That's also a nice compromise you made with the hyphen.
Ok, more importantly - whats the deal with next Friday, you gonna be rocking out with your bad goth 16 yr old prom dress wearing self???
Y~!
