I had just an incredible weekend. While the baby takes a quick nap, I will tell ya all about it briefly.
Friday Em and I hung out, playing, and cleaning. I came home full of sand from the playground. We both went to bed early she slept on my tummy in the rocking chair. aaaawwwwww, I love being a mommy!!!!
Saturday kicked ass. I met up with some high school friends last week and they wanted to do something. This was sooo cool. I loved running into them and it was nice to know they are homebodies too and consider me one of their only friends because of it. yeah, it was my prom date and one of the gals from my pool hall group and they are now married!!!!
Okay, here is the best part of Saturday. I went to the red bank jazz festival. this was a super fun outdoor event. OH MY GOD!!!! I may very well have fallen in love (if I could)
There was this one band that really was so amazing, I went right up to the stage in front and sat on the curb and looked at this singer the whole time. he was way adorable and I loved the way he occasionally looked directly at me when he sang and played. the boy could sing! And he played one mean harmonica like you wouldn;'t believe! Jesus, he blew me away every time he played one of his kick ass solos. one of the songs he decided to jump out in the audience with his harmonica. and as he is playing the hell out of it, he stops in front of me, points to my cherry docs and says, "those are some nice boots, beautiful." oh my god, I was done. yeah, what is it with women and musicians. something so great about that.
okay, here's where it sucked. i had to leave before the end of the performance. yup, mom cramped what very little style I have. I wanted to talk to him afterwards. not for anything other that to say hi and nice show and buy a cd. I don't do the groupies thing or the desperate fan thing, gross. so mom says, that's enough, we need to go now! just like that. it was such a shame to leave because they were such a great band, so grudgingly I left.
so yeah, if I could have fallen in love this weekend, he definately would have been it.
Sunday, today, was just full of shopping with Em and my mom and eating lunch at some cool place.
