I'm into reading magazines these days. I love novels and short stories. But lately I'm reading Maxim, Stuff, GQ, and Esquire.
I have always dismissed reading magazines cause magazines geared toward women are stupid and annoying. All of the subjects on the covers imply that women want information on how to trick men and be slutty. And why are there so many repetative articles about how to take inches off your waist and hips?
Women don't just care about cooking and weight and crafts and "making him into the perfect man." That's why I just adore all these men's magazines. Clever, light hearted writing, beautiful women, articles about beer, and I find out what men think and want. I guess that sounds stereotypical, but that seems to be the common theme of these particular mags, not necessarily what I think all men are like. just to make that clear.
when you read Cosmo and Good housekeeping or crap like that, the writers give no credit for men to have any intelligence or ability to share feelings. I see guys say some pretty honest things here. you guys are not puppies, okay?
I guess I find women so uninteresting to talk to because we are forcefed so much to like "girl stuff" shoes, diets, crafts, pant size, molding their spouses... I can't find myself caring about those things. I don't think all women like those things, but the women who do are such a majority. why can't we like what we like and that's it. Cosmo makes women think dumb and bitchy. the women here are great cause they are not superficial and have brains.
On that note, let me get down from my soapbox and say goodnight.
sweet dreams, dahlings.
