My (long) weekend in the city called London!
(and I didn't even take a corny picture of the underground sign)
This post is very, very picture heavy and really quit big!

Thursday:
We dropped of our little baby Lotje at my sisters. She was going to take care of her while Maarten and me went to London. We took the train to Brussel-Charleroi and went to the hotel. Stupid me, because I booked such an early flight we had to book a hotel in B-C too, otherwise we wouldn't be there in time. Damn :/ I'm a sucker, too relaxed to arrange everything up to the tinniest details because I believe everything will end up okay anyway.

Friday:
At 09.15 our plain left for London Stansted <3 We checked in online and had no check-in baggage so we didn't have to be there three hours before departure. Then at 10.00 we arrived in the centre of London, after taking the Stansted Express. I was totally excited and hyperactive!

During our very, very long walk we saw a lot of great stuff (see above) and got to know London a little bit. It wasn't cold, so the walk was kind of pleasant. We went to the Thames from Liverpool street and then up to Oxford and Regent Street where we ate amazing sandwiches.
Hamleys is HEAVEN <3
/Hamleys is HEAVEN <3
Then after even more walking we arrived at our luxurious hotel at 15.00. We relaxed for about an hour and with sore feet and all we went shoppiiiiiiing! haha. No pictures taken here because we didn't want to drag around shit anymore.
In the evening we ate at the best restaurant ever (Yauatcha)! It's in SOHO and was very expensive, but I told Maarten this was his chill weekend and I wanted to spoil him. We had the loveliest dim sum ever, mmmmm. The restaurant was so beautiful too, little lights at the cealing, really big loungy chairs, candles everywhere. And before eating there we walked through the seven dials (seven little streets with great shops).
This day we walked all the way from Liverpool street Station, to Hyde Park/Paddington station where our hotel was :/ DAMN Our feet hurt and we dropped dead at around 22.00

Saturday:
We went for some siteseeing. The Buckingham Palace, Tower of London (with Big Ben), London Eye, we've seen it all. It was soooo crowded this day however that we only went in and out of the Tate Modern :s
Hyde Park during autumn
Squirrels everywhere (zoom in)
Me pretending to be mad because we walked in the wrong direction and weren't even near Buckingham Palace.
Happy again
B. Palace
It was so warm in London I could walk with a sweater! <3 (wtf am I doing with my eyes?)
Tower of London
Helping the Poppy appeal!
We drank Smoothies at this little wharf (I think it was Gabriels wharf) near the thames. The walk from the Tower of London to Tate modern was lovely. Music everywhere, skateboarders and bmxers, nice people, nice weather.
Expo (from the same artist) I wanted to see but it was to busy and the expo was for members only :/
Then we went to the Seven Dials again, on friday we where there really late and we knew there where a lot more cool shops to check out.
We stumbled upon my dream store:

In the evening we ate at Bella Italia, a lovely Italian restaurant where we shared a Godfather (humangous desert). Luckily we could sit inside after a while, 'cause we where tired again and cold.

Sunday:
Our last day already Went to Hamleys to buy Lotje a cute Hamster thingy we saw (pictures will come someday, no explanation needed when you see it).
Then we went to the Petticoat Market: BIG CRAP. Luckily the Spitalfield market was heaven and we had wonderful scones there! Too bad we couldn't stay too long because we had to catch our flight at 20.00 and we didn't check in yet and Maarten was affraid to miss the flight (which was a good thing because the lines at Stansted where way to big, man how annoying)
British humor (not me, but the text)
Then we had to sleep at a hotel AGAIN, because the belgian trains stop around 22.00 (stupid wankers)! Monday morning we took the train back to our home and Lotje.

Mine:

Might I say this was the loveliest weekend ever, Maarten and me laughed a lot and I love him so very much. He's an angel, he makes me smile, and when he's tired he's even sweeter! This weekend made us stronger and more in love
