My loving grandfather has had a braininfarction He fell down when he was on the toilet and has been there for 6 hours or so. Crawled up on the floor, in pain. He was hypothermic when the ambulance finally came.
He has had one of the most severe braininfarctions one can have, in one of his major arteries. He can't see anymore with one eye and is paralysed on the same side. He can't talk properly anymore. Because of the long time he spend on the floor there's fluid behind his lungs too, he has to get oxygen via a nosetube.
It's possible he might never recover, he might never walk again and there is a big possibility he will have to move to a nursing home.
He even told my mum to congratulate me with my birthday :'(
