I am kind of bummed out right now, I wont be able to make it back to dads for his 50th birthday tomorrow night, I will still be in washington dealing with shit from that ass hat who hit my truck in CA.
Will be home friday, then start with the new company monday, it is going to be a very good thing. I cannot wait.
Since this truck deal fell through, I am looking at other aproaches. I am thinking this spring about getting a brand new truck and putting a 108" or 120"
ARI Sleeper on it. It would be really nice not haing to shower and use the can in the truck stops. As well they have kitchens and so on.
This is about what it would look like.
Here in these pics you can get an idea for how you can dress the inside of one of these up.
Pretty spiffy huh!
These things are decked out, fridge and freezer, stove, sink, toilet shower, microwave. Even Direct TV that tracks the sattelite while you are enroute so as that if you have some one riding with you, they can ride in the back and watch tv rolling down the road in dolby digital and high definition. (yes they set these up for surround sound too!
This thing is also setup with a Onan Gennie pack, that is powered by a 3 cylinder Kubota Diesel engine. So basically it turns the truck into a big Motorhome that you can make a living with, it costs about 50 grand for the sleeper, but if you order a new truck with out one it is quite a bit cheaper, so the cost offsets its self. As well the thing would actually pay for its self in what a guy would be able to save in buying bulk at costco, stocking the truck up, instead of eating at restaraunts and truck stops all the time, would also help me stay healthier. And anyone who knows me knows that I love to cook!
Hell with that setup like a motor home and all, I might just have to get some golf clubs and funny looking pants!
Eddited to add: I have been thinking about what has been going on down in the gulf coast allot the past few days. I can only hope those affected have a speedy recovery and are able to get on with thier lives as soon as possible. It is a terrible thing that has happened, I would like to send my best wishes to you all.
As well I have volunteered to take any load that I can to the region to help with the process. There is going to be allot of freight moving that way in the next few weeks and I stand ready and will do my part to aid in the effort to get things sane again.
Editied to add:
Figured I would throw this pic up too, it is a Peter Car, but it is damn nice!

I can't believe all of that fits into a truck!
