"All my pictures are built around the idea of getting in trouble and so giving me the chance to be desperately serious in my attempt to appear as a normal little gentleman."
Thinking the hair stays, need to grow the top out a bit longer to do what I want with it.

I can work (or not work) whenever I want so participating in something like this is do-able. And I think it is a good idea. But I also think the issue regarding company drivers is somewhat more complicated. I was a company driver for a number of years and was reasonably happy doing it. In fact, I didn't become an O/O for anything related to money, but for more freedom in choosing what I do and my time off. I know there are (some) decent companies out there for people who do not want the headaches or expenses associated with being an O/O, but I am extremely skeptical that many companies would be willing to risk their accounts by letting all of their drivers shut down for any specific time like this. What would happen is those accounts will find someone else who WILL carry the freight. Some shit company like Swift will always do it, and pay their poor rookie drivers a lousy fucking quarter a mile. I really feel bad for those guys, honestly. I think some drivers get locked in due to a company either sending them to trucker school or agreeing to pay off their school expense. They'll make shit money and carry whatever shit loads they're told. My point is, there will always be people who are going to work no matter how miserable the situation is.
But I am just being (in my opinion) realistic. I think as time goes on the big companies will continue to get bigger, and the industry will consolodate. I don't think this is healthy for us, but I do think it's the trend. Despite my pessimism, I will happily shut down.
