eh forget that mess... but yeah I had a pretty rad day Yesterday

My weekend started off pretty Okay got together with some people and saw Kill Bill Vol. 2. and I must say I was impressed... I LOVE BILL, he was such a cool character... why would you wanna kill this guy. Although if he did kill all my friends, and my wife, and put a bullet in my head putting me into a coma for four years I'd be pretty hot too.

So anyway Saturday. After getting up at like 1pm, SCORE I love sleeping in, I have a nice long shower and cup of coffee after and then I go to band practise. Practise was a little slow.. we played the set we are going to play tonight at the Mac Bar, after practise though me and our bass player head to Toronto early ... why early you ask... well we are going to see POISON THE WELL AND THURSDAY that night. But first we had to stop at the Friendly Stranger to pick up a "cigarette" roller and stash box combo thingy for his buddys birthday present... and since we paid to park near there we figured we'd go to a CD store first... HOLY CRAP I FOUND AVENGED SEVENFOLD!!!! YIPEEEEE I also picked up As I lay dying and the new Fear Factory CD.. which is playing right now on my CD player.. good CD not their best their best I think is Obsolete.

Then came the concert .. Holy poop I saw an old friend from grade school there... like what the fuck .. I was surprised I almost didn't recognize him. He looked bad though but happy which was cool. He drunk off his ass and was really amazed at all my good band news and stuff.

Spitalfield was the first band on the stage.. hecklers heckling them and they asked for them too.. I was like YOU MORONS its not cool to ask for hecklers ... the crowd boo'ed them when they asked for hecklers and I was just like well what did you expect. Decent band but nothing special.

then Engine Down was on.. This was funny, Someone threw a bottle at their bass player and at the end of the song he said "who the hell threw that bottle... congratulations I am not playing another song tonight... so if anyone asks its this guy this piece of sshhhh ............. " then he put his bass down and was like "you in the fucking wife beater why don't you take a break bud I mean thursday will be on soon and then you can get your mosh on and be all cool and stuff" Then it got crazy cuz he musta said something bad cuz the bass player guy went down into the crowd and what happened then I couldn't see but he re-emerged and said "Good job buddy ... have fun listening to Thursday outside" I thought it was cool how he handled that, getting the douche bag throw out. They were another decent but nothing special band. They had a few songs that had my head bobbing.

Then Poison the well came on OH MY GOD!!! although the drummer's sound was a little off and it looked like a different guy and the singer (whos style is very much like mine.. very confident about his screaming but a little aprehensive about singing) wasn't doing too well on projecting his singing parts but still it was a solid set and they played all the songs I wanted to hear.
Botchla, Apathy is a Cold Body, Nerdy, Ghostchant, & Moments over-exagerate. SCORE!!!!

Then Thursday came on ... what a show .. what a show. Rxqueen I don't know what your talking about with the singer not being able to sing.. he sounded fine although with his amount of energy and jumping and bobbing and looking like hes on speed he ran out of breath rather fast but still he did well I thought. They played a really rad set... and I was interested to find that one of their songs was about Mathew Shepperd the gay kid that was beaten to death for being gay... I thought that was rad but then I thought HAH how stupid could I be to not know what the song M. Shepperd was about. Har Har. Thursday had the best light show I've ever seen at the Kool Haus to accompany them. That was ACES.

So tonight we play a show, a party show so there isn't a lot of pressure but Im looking forward to having fun .. I am a little nervous but thats to be expected. I am also a little sick. I've been coughing like a smoker for the past couple days.... I guess second hand smokers cough really does exist.

I started working at a car parts factory. On friday I was lifiting 40 pound car parts for 8 hours.. so I guess it was pretty good that I didn't do anything huge friday night cuz Saturday morning my arm and shoulders were SOO sore. anyone wanna come and give me a massage?? pretty pretty please.

I started talking with those "friends" that I was talking about a couple journals ago that seemed to be ignoring me for whatever reason. Though they didn't know they were ignoring me they do feel a little bad about it and Im just really only talking to the one that I care the most about ... so thats good. She went and say Thursday and Poison the well a day before I did. We're exhanging stories of the two dates. Im definatley thinking I should offer getting together to talk in person and just be my normal charming effervescent self and maybe she'll break up with her boyfriend and go out with me.... a littl much to ask for?

I guess thats all the news to print for now ladies and gents.
