Okay so I might be a little too euphoric or a little too tipsy to write this entry but the show is in the bag and Im home now after it riding a niiiice high of people complimenting me. This is after our first show, my first time being on a stage too.
So heres how it goes down, I spent all day drinking caffine related drinks to have big energy on stage... of course once I get up there the whole atmosphere changes. But anways we find out that we are not acctually the third band on out of 4 bands but the second band. ... holy crap the new avril video came on and shes in her underwear in it ... I gotta watch it... ....
Okay, thats a good video.. its about not being a slut and giving it up to a guy. Thats a cool thing to say. Although I think shes really hot and the guy left cuz she wouldn't give it up.
.. but you guys don't care about that shit do you, you wanna hear about my story doncha. So the first band was called the Sequels or the Doubles or something like that .. very un-original very un-interesting band. Solid I suppose but not very catching.
Then even when empty comes and it comes hard. Like I said being up on a stage for the first time was very mood changing. There wasn't a lot of room to move around either but I think I managed. There were lots of camera's flashing around when we were on stage. I loved that. We RIPPED AND DESTROYED, WE CAME WE SAW WE FUCKING CONQUERED. My scream was the toast of the night. Our four song set brought everyone in the bar to the stage ... even those that didn't know us. They stood there admiring but they didn't move too much.
Highlight of the night pt. 1. On our last song I was screaming at the end and Paul who is recording us came up on stage and screamed with me and we double up on it. He messed me up at first cuz I wasn't sure what to do exactly I cut out a singing part and just screamed away. It was crazy mad cool.
Highlight of the night pt. 2. I went to buy a beer after the set was done and some guy I didn't know came up to me and was like "dude you fucking rule your scream is so incredible" The guys in the band were telling me how many people were stopping them and telling them "your singer can scream like no one else, like its the best scream I've ever heard"

until ... ... the end of the night. We weren't announced the winner. The band that won only won because of the crowd. The guy who announced it said so himself. He was like it was close between two bands but what put it over the top for this band was the crowd the big mosh pit and everything. It was us or them and it just wasn't really our night I suppose.
But we cannot be unhappy with our set we nailed it and we were in fact the best band that night... I mean we MADE fans the other band brought all their friends to cheer for them. This was our very first show, they've had a bunch of shows before this one. But excuses are weak I'd congratulate them if I saw them but I doubt that they'd talk to a lowly band like us.
Well thats basically it. I got tonnes of compliments, people were happy with the band, but we didn't win the contest. Oh well the host of the contest said that we had a good future we just needed some polishing.

awesome....so is your band hardcore or what? I don't think I'd ever have the balls to get up on stage and sing (unless I had a good voice, or scream haha) which I don't. So good for you!
