Even When Empty Studio update 1:
Hey everyone, (this makes me feel like a real muscian .. giving studio updates ..ha!) Yesterday night, paul, our engineer/producer/recording guy came by to our practise to hear "what he was getting himself into" when we came by to record with him.
On a side note, I think we really underestimated this guy, when we met with him we thought he would have been blown away by us as we got the impression the only thing he knew was nu metal and hooks and fast beats and the hard on the outside quiet on the inside nu metally beats. That was a bit of a mistake but not too much of one I would hope.
After hearing a song we called Midnight (our only song with a one word title) he asked us if we had something else to record, Jamie seemed crushed. However he did like our other 3 songs, and he did to me sound excited about us and mentioned a few times about doing a full length with us. (although jamie had specified that paul was just about the deniro than about acctually doing a full length with us). Now we have a problem, finding that fourth song to record. Our never showing bass player only is comfortable with the four songs we had chosen, giving him a new song right away would put him in one of his "moods" (he has man-periods) and that would make us look really unprofessional. (although with a late drummer, no bass player, a singer that doesn't warm up, and broken strings and a guitar that wasn't working I think we looked really unprofessional to him anyways)
but in spite of all of that recording begins today in a few hours. Drums and Bass are on the block today. Don't know how long it will take but it should prove to be fun and a good learning experience. Paul was very adamant about how his studio had all the goings on of a professional studio, and music business stuff and yadda yadda yadda. With time we'll be ready for a international independant label. Thats also what Paul said ... so there is promise for us.
Thats all the news for now boys and girls, oh on an outside the band note, on monday Im gonna try and hook some friends up as there is a strange situation in which a girl I know (kinda friendly with) is in love with one of my good friends in my class. The funny thing is is that Im infatuated with her good friend in our classes. Is this irony or just a strange coincedence. Hopefully something will work out. And I used to get the impression that this girl was disgusted by me and wouldn't want to touch me with a 7 foot pole, but now that I've been promoting my band and myself she seems to be a lot more friendly and nice and ... well shes really cool and has a nice body

studios are fun when you run around naked and smash things with baseball bats while your drunk. wait, maybe that only works for my band.
