and now for a more interesting journal entry where I tell you every little detail that strangers shouldn't really know anyway ... ... ..
... ... .. So the past few twenty some hours have been eventful in a way that only a social outkast like myself would find eventful. But anyway heres the things that have gone down.
Friday I had classes as per usual and I don't know if it was just me or not but the girls in my class looked exceptionally beautiful that day. I wanted to tell some of them but that would just be creepy wouldn't it ... some short and fat slightly ugly guy that hasn't talked to them suddenly saying all these nice things about how nice they looked... but anyway thats only a slight thing. After classes the trek to Toronto for DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN began.
it was a trek full of crabby bus drivers trying to force their way on me and my friend dave (who by the way is slightly interested in the SG world and may one day acctually join the website) When we got to toronto we started talking to everyone we met about finding the Opera House ... a little hard to find concert venue thats miles and miles away from Union Station where we get let off when traveling to Toronto. It was funny cuz everyone in Toronto was so nice to us... except for the people who worked at Union ..apparently asking where the subway stations are is a big faux pas.
We arrive at the Opera House about an hour before the doors open... so we stand there waiting for two more of Dave's friends who may or may not go to the Dillinger show and the two of us freeze our toes off until a pretty girl who I swear looks exactly like Anouck started talking with me because one of her friends said "Now that dude looks cold" hahha well me and this girl seemed to have a lot in common we both had an afinity for saying the word "douche" and we both could quote family guy bits. Unfortunatley she lives far away from me and unfortunatley Dave's two friends arrived and we got out of line to go hang out at a pizza place to warm up. Dave's two friends were hot girls who were going to a party so they weren't going to end up going to the Dillinger show.
So on the inside of the Dillinger show I saw that girl from the line and we said hi and that was about it. Oh well its only "line friends" I make "line friends" at almost every concert I go to. But this one offered me her scarf which was so nice. The first band on stage was called the oaf. Their singer was completley and utterly nuts. Then Enemies Friend took the stage... the only thing I can say about them is that they are good muscians but they need a different singer. They had three people doing vocals and the vocals were ... well shite. I don't want to sound arrogant or concieted but someone like me who can scream and do some decent melodies could make that band something to be reckoned with... and their base player was hot too. Then the Locust took the stage. Weird is all I can say about them. Why is it that really talented muscians like them get all arrogant about music and only write 30 second songs where they are making noise and no sense..... and why do people buy into this inside joke of hardcore.
Dillinger was next and HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!! ... I didn't know too much about Dillinger before the show but their set blew me away.... I didn't get into the pit as I was on the balcony chillin and enjoying the vibe. The pit looked scary anway, but Dillinger won me over that night and their new song which Dave (who got their set list from the sound guys) determind was called Sunshine the Warewolf was incredible. and 43% burnt rocked my frozen sox off.
So I got back to the college residence at around 4 in the morning and went to bed. Then at 12 in the afternoon all I can here are my neighbours and some girl singing "come sail away" by styxx at the top of their lungs and playing the song just as loud ...
of course you know this means war.
so as soon as my roomate woke up I started playing Funeral for a Friend and Refused equally as loud if not louder ... whether or not that bothered them is irrelevant the point is they could hear it and they had to deal with it regardless.
muahahahaahahahaha
and now today I am at home back in milton a friend of mine who I had a small crush on just broke up with her boyfriend... two of my friends suggested I should ask her out to take my mind off the impossible girl I have fallen in love with. I don't know. I have nothing going on tonight so I finally died my hair that dark dark blue color ... its funny I died my sideburns too and then decided to shave them and now my skin on my face is slightly colored still....
I guess thats all for now folks... yeah its probably long and boring journal entry to some but then there aren't many that acctually read my journal entries anyway they just reply to my comments left in theirs.... oh well I still love all my SG friends.
till next same scatt time same scatt channel.
