So here I am between classes back at the rez cuz my friends ditched me or I ditched them depending on how you look at it... just killing time.
Someone had asked me to compile a list of my top ten cds of 2003 and I finally finished it. Its all based on CDs I've heard that were released in the year (although some of them are questionable for me, as in Im not sure if they were released in 2003 so bear with me) and its also based on my own personal opinion and my own personal music preferences so if ya disagree remember to bite me. So heres what I came up with.
10. Linkin Park: Meteora: Almost didn't make my list, but after clearing out 5 from a list of 15 CDs LPs Meteora was still there. Its a great CD after all.. in my opinion and Lying From You, and From the Inside and Numb are all songs that I really like anyway.
9. Brand New: Deja Entendu: While I find my interest in Brand New waining I must say that Deja is an amazing CD puting together emo and pop and punk in a nice blend with some awesome awesome songs like "The queit things no one ever knows" "Sic Transit Gloria" "I believe you but my tommy gun dont" and as writers Brand New still inspires me even though I hope to never become as whiney about popularity as they are.
8. A Perfect Circle: Thirteenth Step. Some of the tracks on this CD blow me the fuck away... but then other tracks seem like filler. but tI do really really love that song the noose. Holy crap do I love that song.
7. AFI: Sing the Sorrow: When I first heard this CD I was like "Fucking Brilliant" Although I had two other AFI cds this made me want to listen to AFI forever and ever. If not for the other CDs on my list this would be number one.
6. Silverstein: When Broken is Easily Fixed: Only the number one cd on my list has ever gotten to me like this one. When the singer screams I close my eyes and I can see you dead at the end of November I cream my pants.
5. Poison the Well: You Came Before You: Poison the well continues to impress me after every CD but this one made me stand up and say Poison the Well is really one of my fave bands.
4. Thrice: The Artist in the Ambulance: Thrice's last outings to me seemed sort of lukewarm to slightly above average but this CD I could listen to over and over and over again. Artist in the Ambulance is an inspiration to me as a musician and I love almost every song on it.
3. Funeral for a Friend: Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation: Holy crap!!! although I had just recently heard this CD I think it does deserve to be number 3 in 2003. I must have listened to bullet theory and Rookie of the year and Red is the new black like 100 times over.

1. FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES: The Fiction we Live: # of times listened in a row 10
# of songs that blow me away: all of them
plus getting to shake Fran Marks hand at a concert this year made my night that night and he was totally a cool guy.
I was going to write more but this entry is long enough I suppose. What are your thoughts on CDs in 03 and the ones I picked
Cheers
