Here's something that bugs me... I really want an honest answer. It's plagued me for a while.

Why do American's wear their shoes in the house? I don't know of any other culture that does. Not even Canadian's. How come my American cousins wear their frickin shoes inside!
I need to know the truth!

In my house we just wear sandals, cause we have dogs that have accidents and stepping in poo barefoot is not fun

I can see if you have "inside" shoes that you don't wear outside. But if you just wear the same ones, I just think that there is an unbelievable amount of debris and shit on your soles...That grosses me out. That's my thought.
