Noise! Noise! I am nurtured and lulled by it. Jack hammers, honking horns, screeching breaks, loud exhausts, these are all music to my ears. It is the silence I dread.
I have unbearable ringing in my ears. It's called Tinnitus, and they don't have any cures or anything for it. Most daily annoyances mean that the ringing will be drowned out.
It shows up in different forms. I have a ringing, constant, and most times it can be just white noise. But this last week, someone I knew killed themselves because of it. And I can't block it out like I usually can. I got it when I was little and had frequent ear infections. It did some permanent damage to my ear drums. It sucks. I can't fucking stand it right now. It's consuming most of my day.
That's been the last few days for me. I just feel like being sedated. *sigh*
