Tonight, as I came home from dinner with the folks, my fiance and I looked up to see Aurora borealis--Northern lights. Most people from other areas of the world think that it only happens in winter, if they know about them at all. Well, they happen at all times in the year. They are beautiful. All I can say to describe them is that they are like sound frequency, dancing across the sky. That's what they look like to me anyway.
I needed it. It amazes me how connected nature makes you feel. There is something very spiritual about life around us. I danced in the warm rain earlier tonight. I just had a humbling day outside, realizing how fucking precious the earth and all it's secret delicacies are. It scares me to think how fast we are loosing it and how much we take it for granted. I hope that my grandkids, even my kids, get to feel warm summer rain on their skin without it eating their fucking flesh off.
On that note.

I agree on your point about not being vain...it took a while for me to understand for myself that what I was doing was delving into an unhealthy narcissistic attitude in trying to explore how I felt as thought I wasn't vain, and only realized recently what an insular attitude that really was.
I also agree with your views on this site. I am glad to be here, and I do feel as though this site promotes people to be proud of their bodies as well.
And don't worry about long comments...I think they're cool! Gives more to talk about, also, and to understand peoples' attitudes towards things. Ciao!
