Here's what I wrote today...

"I don't mind".

I am in, and out of a reality
that's not quite real
I'm somewhere,
between the margins
hiding out in the spine
of a story
coiled in the stitching
navigating
half alive
half asleep
half way into a grave
this is where I'll stay
this is where I feel safe
if I felt anything at all...
A person can't be all good
Can they?
A person can't be all bad
Can they?
Should they?
You can know my name
if you want to
You can hang your shame on me
if you want to
I don't mind
I have no mind.
You ask me to open my eyes
And I go blind...
Just tell me what to be
and I'll be it.
I'll close my eyes to see
And I'll see it
Cause it's all a matter of
perception
it's all a matter of
whatever
distortion
you can conceive...
And so I kneel
Humbly
In the lines
of a story
I don't know.
In the lies of a story
We all told.
Whatever makes you ok
Are you ok?
