It has not happened in years. But this week it started again.
I start down the stairs; there is a tiny tickle in my lungs. With in steps there is a tell tale wheeze to my breathing.
By the time I have taken the few steps to pass the bathroom, the sweat is bedding up on my skin. My head is numb, almost out of tune.
I can hear thunder, and my heart beats drowned out any other noise.
I'm falling onto the floor. I'm grabbing at the blankets, but Im still on the floor.
My hair is stuck to my face. My hands ache i'm grabbing at the sheets.
The damn cat will be at my funeral. This is my fist thought. Next, is I am going to die on this horrible, floor.
My lungs are screaming for air. I am chocking and gasping, coughing and sputtering. The air is not moving.
If I where a fish out of water, I'd be flopping.
My ribs ache, my eyes are watering and my skin is on fire. The air will not exchange with carbon monoxide in my lungs.
I am having an asthma attack.
I have not had an attack in over 2 years; I stopped getting in halers, thats how much I really believed that I was done with asthma.
Boy was I surprised.
In other news, sorry I haven't been around much, or updated. I have been really busy trying to get the photos for my imaging class done. Plus I get the hell out of dodge for two weeks in seven days. So I've had about a million and one things to do.
Thats about all to report now.
